PVB (polyvinyl butyral) filament from ROSA3D is a polymer that enables you to achieve impressive looking, transparent prints.
The surface of the finished print can be smoothed with isopropyl alcohol. The ease of printing with PVB filament makes it suitable even for 3D printing beginners.
The possibility of achieving a smooth, transparent structure makes this filament perfect for printing a wide range of aeasthetically pleasing objects, such as vases, sculptures, or lampshades. After IPA smoothing, PVB figurines look as if they have been taken out of an injection mould.
PVB filament is highly hygroscopic therefore it should be stored in airproof container. To assure best possible print quality filament should be dryed (60 °C, 4-8 h) before printing.
Recommended printing parameters:
- extruder temperature: 200-225°C
- bed temperature: 65-75 °C
- print speed: 60-80 mm/s
Filament does not require a heated bed or chamber. In case of problems with adhesion, we recommend the use of an adhesive agent. It is recommended to enable print cooling. Fan speed should be adjusted according to printer capabilities and geometry of the printed object.
PRODUCT PARAMETERS OF PVB
- Diameter: 1,75 mm
- Net weight: 500 g
- Spool weight: 245 g
Filament is vacuum packed with desiccant.
PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF PVB
- Density: 1,09 g/cm3
- Odor: odorless
- Heat deflection temperature: 55°C (HDT A according to ISO 75; 1,8 MPa; 120 K/h)
